4-week plan

Four weeks to the finish, one goal each week

A suggested framework you can adjust to your subjects and exam dates.

  1. Week 1

    Review and list everything

List every topic, mark what you know well and what is weak, then break it down into chunks you can finish in one session.

  2. Week 2

    Fill the knowledge gaps

Spend the most time on your weak spots. Group study works well at this stage, because explaining something back to a friend is a great way to test whether you really understand it.

  3. Week 3

    Timed practice tests

Work through past papers in real exam time and write down the mistakes you keep making so you can fix them one by one.

  4. Week 4

    Consolidate and keep your rhythm

Go back over your diagrams, formulas and mistake notes. Avoid cramming new material close to exam day, and get enough sleep so you walk into the exam room alert.

Late-night study

What to drink and eat for a late-night session

Suggestions for exam season, not a fixed menu. Every drink can be made with 0–100% sugar and less or more ice.

A cup of tea, just enough to stay alert

Both wood-fired roasted oolong and Thai Nguyen green tea contain caffeine. Sip small cups and avoid drinking it close to bedtime.

A light late-night vegetarian meal

The kitchen serves vegetarian dishes from 22:00 to 04:00, with broths made from vegetables. Eat light so you are neither hungry nor stuffed and sluggish.

Fresh-baked treats in the morning

Baking starts at 5 a.m., ideal if you arrive early to claim a spot before your first study session.

Stay strong

A long haul calls for a steady rhythm

A few small habits help you make it through exam season, especially when a study session runs through the night.

Look after yourself

  • Get enough sleep, especially the last few nights before the exam
  • Eat regular meals and drink enough water
  • Stand up and stretch lightly after every 45–60 minutes of studying

Study as a group, effectively

  • Agree on the goal of the session right from the start
  • Split the roles: one person explains, everyone asks questions
  • Set fixed break times, for example 5 minutes after every 25 minutes
