Green Living

A gentle cup of tea, for a gentler planet

Nhà An has chosen paper cups and straws and seasonal ingredients, and we'll work alongside you on small habits like bringing your own cup or collecting tea grounds for plants. What's decided and what's only planned, this page spells out.

The spirit of

Green is a small habit, kept up

The Nhà An logo shows a young leaf sprouting from a rooftop. Living green here is just as small: no grand promises, only everyday choices at the tea counter, in the kitchen and at your table.

Nhà An is still getting ready to open, so we have no waste-reduction figures to share yet. Instead, we're clear about what we'll do from day one, what is still a goal, and we invite you to help us do better.

  • Clear about what's chosen and what's planned
  • No judgment: do what you can, whatever that is
  • Finding better ways together with the community

Our choices

Six choices right at the tea counter

These are part of how Nhà An is preparing to operate from opening day.

Paper cups and straws

Takeaway drinks come in paper cups with paper straws instead of single-use plastic.

Bring your own cup

Guests who bring a personal cup are planned to get a small perk; details will be announced at opening.

Seasonal ingredients

Fruit and vegetables taste best in season, and they don't have to travel as far.

Working with farming families

Nhà An works directly with farming households to understand where each ingredient comes from.

Ceramic and glass when you stay

Guests who sit in are planned to be served in ceramic or glass instead of disposable cups.

Saving power and water

Lights and equipment used only as needed, and less water wasted when preparing drinks and cleaning up.

The easiest start

Start with your own cup

A cup you use again and again is the smallest thing you can do today.

  1. Pick a cup that feels right in your hand

Glass, stainless steel or ceramic with a lid all work, as long as it's convenient and you'll use it for the long haul.

  2. Wash it after every use

Wash with warm water and dish soap, let it dry, then put the lid on so it doesn't pick up odors.

  3. Keep it where you'll see it

Slip it into your laptop bag or leave it next to your house keys, and you'll rarely forget it.

  4. Hand it to our staff

Nhà An plans to make your drink straight into your cup and offer a small perk for this habit.

Let's do it together

What you can do starting today

Pick one or two that suit you and that's plenty. Keeping at it is what matters.

When ordering a drink

  • Bring your own cup or bottle
  • Stay and drink from a ceramic cup if you're not in a rush
  • Skip the straw and plastic bag when you don't need them
  • Combine several drinks into one order for takeaway

At home

  • Eat seasonal fruit and vegetables
  • Reuse dried tea grounds for your plants
  • Bring a cloth bag to the market
  • Turn off lights and devices when you leave a room

With the community

  • Invite friends to bring their own cups too
  • Send your green ideas to Nhà An
  • Share the reuse tips you already practice

Quick questions

Questions about green living at Nhà An

Do I get a perk for bringing my own cup to Nhà An?

Nhà An plans to offer a small perk to guests who bring a personal cup. Details will be announced on the website and on Zalo at opening.

Why encourage bringing your own cup if you use paper cups?

Paper cups usually have a thin lining inside to keep them waterproof, so whether they can be recycled depends on how local waste is processed. A cup you use over and over cuts single-use waste at the source.

How do I use tea grounds as fertilizer?

Drained tea grounds with no sugar or milk can be composted with dry leaves and organic kitchen scraps, or dried and sprinkled thinly around the base of plants. Use them in moderation and watch how your plants respond.

Does Nhà An publish waste-reduction figures?

Not yet, because we haven't opened. Once we have real data, Nhà An will publish it so you can follow along.

How can I suggest a green activity?

Send your idea through our feedback page or message us on Zalo at 0865 920 041. Nhà An would love to hear from green-living groups and anyone doing this work locally.

Items marked as planned or as goals are directions we may adjust as the branches begin operating.
