Area

A neighborhood of many journeys

Tan Binh is a residential and office area on the northwest edge of central Saigon, right next to Tan Son Nhat Airport. Since July 1, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City has reorganized its administrative units and dropped the district level, but Saigon locals still call this area Tan Binh.

Nhà An Tan Binh is an old-Saigon-style tea house with encaustic floor tiles (gạch bông) near the airport, planned to open 24/7 with luggage storage for travelers waiting on a flight. The street number will be announced later, so every distance below is only an estimate and may vary with the time of day and traffic.

  • Central Saigon is about 7–8 km from the airport, a 20–45 minute ride depending on the hour
  • Rush hours around the airport: roughly 7–9 AM and 4–7 PM
  • Easiest in the dry season: roughly December through April
