Coffee's done, let's split the bill neatly

Enter the total bill, the number of people, a tip if you like and how to round. The calculator shows what each person pays, so the whole group can settle up fast, transfer cleanly and skip the awkwardness.

Tool

One bill, a share for everyone

Fill in the total and the number of people, then split evenly or by item. Add a tip or rounding if you want, and the result appears right below.

How to use

Four steps split in under a minute

  1. Enter the total bill

Take the final total on the bill, including everything the group ordered. You can type it short, like 250k or 1.2tr (1.2 million).

  2. Enter the number of people

Count friends who came late or left early but shared the table. To split by item, switch to split-by-item mode.

  3. Add a tip if you like

Choose 0%, 5%, 10% or type another rate. A tip is optional, so just leave it at 0% if you'd rather not add one.

  4. Choose how to round

Round each share up to the nearest 1, 5 or 10 thousand VND to make transfers easier. A small leftover can go toward your next get-together.

About splitting bills

A lively long table, and a bill that stays easy

Study groups, reunions, deadline crunches together or a weekend at the Chatter Courtyard: every big group has a moment when no one wants to ask who pays how much. Being clear from the start, with a tool to help, is far easier than guessing in your head or letting one person cover everything.

This calculator doesn't decide how you should split. It just handles the math, and the agreement is up to your group.

  • Runs right in your browser, no sign-in needed
  • Works for a vegetarian breakfast or a late-night hangout
  • Easy to use on your phone right at the table

Choose how to split

Four ways to split for every group

Every group has its own habits. You can use the tool for the even split, then add or subtract for individuals.

Example

How much does rounding change things?

An illustration with a bill of VND 1 million split among 3 people, so each share is VND 333,300. These are not Nhà An's menu prices.

Polite tips

Split the bill smoothly, no awkwardness

Talk before you order

Ask the group at the start whether to split evenly or by item, so there's nothing to debate at payment time.

Transfer to settle fast

One person pays and everyone transfers back via a bank QR code. Double-check the amount before sending.

Round up in moderation

Rounding up a little to keep it tidy is fair, but be clear about what the leftover is for.

Tip as you wish

In Vietnam, tipping isn't required. If you'd like to thank the staff, add the tip to the shared total and split it evenly.

Quick questions about splitting bills

Does the calculator save the amounts I enter?

What you enter isn't sent anywhere. The tool runs right in your browser with no sign-in, and Nhà An doesn't collect the numbers you type. Your browser only remembers your last choices (number of people, tip, rounding) on your own device.

Is the tip required?

No. A tip is entirely up to you. You can leave it at 0% if you'd rather not add one.

Why is the total after rounding higher than the bill?

Rounding up makes everyone pay slightly more than the exact share, so the group ends up with a small leftover. Choose no rounding if you want it to match to the last dong.

How large groups pay will be announced when the branches open. In the meantime, you can message us on Zalo at 0865 920 041 to ask ahead, and when you visit, talk to the staff at the counter.
