Weather across Vietnam

March, the land shifts gears

March sits at the turn between spring and summer: the North finally leaves the cold behind, Central Vietnam enjoys pleasant sunshine, and the South enters its first truly hot days. Knowing the weather ahead helps you choose the right drinks, food and trips.

  • North: drizzle and damp, humid days early in the month, warming up toward the end
  • Central: little rain and warm sunshine, ideal for strolls on Da Nang’s beaches and in Hoi An’s old town
  • South: dry season, with the sun getting stronger
  • Central Highlands: sunny and breezy, and early mornings in Da Lat are still crisp
