Hòa Lộc cát mango
The main harvest peaks around April to June, depending on the year. Xoài cát (cát mango) is fragrant, thick-fleshed, richly sweet and low in fiber; it's great fresh, in smoothies or in fruit tea.
Seasonal Calendar
Hanoi turns white with lilies, the South basks in early-summer sun, cát mangoes come into season, and then Cold Food Festival, Hung Kings Day and the Apr 30 break arrive. Here's what to eat, drink and see in April with Nhà An.

Weather across Vietnam
April is when the sun clearly picks up across the country. The North leaves the damp spring behind, with warm days and the occasional thunderstorm; the South enters its hottest days of the year before the first rains arrive. A cool cup of tea and a seat in the shade are what many people go looking for.

April's seasonal picks
Actual timing can run a few weeks early or late depending on the year and the growing region.
